A Clockwork Orange - Collector's Edition RC1
Beethoven loving Alex (Malcolm McDowell) and his 3 'Droogs' enjoy their evenings drinking drug-laced milk and committing a bit of the old ultraviolence. Alex is eventually caught by the police and agrees to try a new aversion therapy to 'cure' him and get out of prison early.
Now 'cured' and out of prison, he meets past acquaintances and former victims who give him their own brand of justice. After trying to 'snuff it', he becomes a political embarrassment and is cured of his cure by the government. Kubrick uses shocking imagery backed by striking musical counterpoints to bring Anthony Burgess' future shock novel to life. Controversial even by today's standards, A Clockwork Orange remains as potent today as when it was released in 1971. This collector's edition includes a 35mm image from the film, a remastered soundtrack CD, and a 16 page booklet of the film.
