Lady Gaga - Dancing In The Dark
Recognized for her flamboyant videos, outfits, and performances, Lady Gaga, born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, is an international superstar. She was raised Roman Catholic in a struggling lower class family. Both of her parents worked 12 hours a day to make ends meet. An American singer and songwriter, Lady Gag learned to play piano at the age of 4. She was accepted into Juilliard at the age of 11, but instead was sent to a private Catholic school. In spite of this setback she continued to study music, write, and perform. She actually gave her first performance in a nightclub at the age of 14. She cites such varied artists as David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Queen as influences on her music. She was granted early admission into New York University's Tisch School of the Arts at the age of 17. Lady Gaga is only one of 20 students that received this honor. She later withdrew to work on her creativity and took 3 jobs to make ends meet. Lady Gaga has become one of the best-selling music artists of all time. She has received numerous awards and has been named one of the most influential people of all time by Time Magazine.
