Ranma 1/2 - Like Water for Ranma
Like Water For Ranma
"Akane vs. Ranma! I'll be the One to Inherit Mother's Recipes!"
Youngest Tendo daughter Akane discovers a volume of her mother's recipes just in time to take over for suddenly bedridden older sister Kasumi. Naturally, the family isn't too excited at the prospect of having to eat Akane's infamously bad cooking. Kasumi struggles valiantly to rise from her sickbed to prevent the tragedy (while Genma and Ranma attempt to sneak out the back way), but Akane insists that with the help of the recipe book, she too can dish up the vittles every bit as good as Mama used to make.
Add to the mix the sudden arrival of Ranma's own mother, Nodoka, a well-mannered (yet formiddable) woman completely unaware of her husband and son's little secret. Genma and Ranma have their own reasons to keep her in the dark, and so for the duration of her visit Genma must become the roly-poly bamboo-crunching "Mister Panda," while Ranma becomes "Ran-Ko," Akane's charming country cousin. When Nodoka offers to help Akane learn her way around the kitchen, red-haired Ran-Ko is seized by the green-eyed moster and proposed a no-holds-barred cookoff that's got the rest of the family running for the hills. Watch the Tendos go from out of the frying pan and into the fire in this deliciously scrambled gourmet comedy.
