Bruiser NL
Bruiser is the story of a man who has always tried to fit in. He keeps his mouth shut, follows the rules, and does what he's supposed to do. But one morning, he wakes up to find his face is gone. All the years of acquiescence have cost him the one thing he can't replace: his identity. Now he's a blank, outside as well as in, an anonymous, featureless phantom. Bent on exacting revenge, he explodes. He isn't going to follow the rules anymore.
The man in question is Henry Creedlow (Jason Flemyng), who works at a men’s magazine called ‘Bruiser’, despite having a successful career, a beautiful wife, a fast car and a big house, Henry is one of those men you would just walk past in the street and not notice him. He's practically invisible and lacks the backbone to stand up to anybody who gets in his face or questions his opinions, he’s easy going and he doesn’t really mind, except when certain people take advantage of him, but he’s still to nice to complain. But Henry’s life is full of people that take advantage of him, in fact that’s all its made of, wife, Janine, (Nina Garbiras) is unfaithful and keeps her thumb on Henry's money. His best friend Jimmy (Andrew Tarbet) is a financial advisor who is robbing Henry blind to pay for his new car. Even his housekeeper gets in on the action, pilfering money from Henry's wallet and taking silver items when she thinks he isn't looking. And, worst of all, his boss (Peter Stormare) belittles Henry in front of his colleagues and seems a little too familiar with his wife, Janine.
