Voices From Beyond ITA
Italian goremaster Lucio Fulci, The director of Zombie Flesh Eaters, & The Beyond brings his blood-lusting twist to this modern ghost story.
When Georgio, a rich middle-aged man, dies suddenly from a hemmorhage, every member of his cunning family, except for his loving daughter, is suspected. His ghost is not so sure that it was a random misfortune and wants to know the truth. Unfortunately, almost everyone around him is happy to see him gone. Everyone, that is, except for his daughter Rosy, who still feels affection for her father even though they have drifted apart. With her medical student boyfriend, Rosy tries to get to the bottom of her father's death.
A horror mystery movie of sorts, with gratuitous gore elements thrown in for good measure. The horror elements really get going in a gory autopsy scene, the recurring dream of a man killing a boy, a nightmare in which a plate of eggs turn into eyes which are then cut to pieces, plus several shots of the decomposing man both in nightmares and actually in his grave.
Georgio, in ghost form, returns from beyond the grave to help his daughter get to the bottom of his untimely death.
With Fulci behind the camera, the plot unfolds in a terrifying and very bloody way.
