Red Scorpion: Collectors Edition
A Soviet trained assassin, named Nikolai is dispatched to Mombaka.
His assignment is to kill a rebel leader, Sundata who is fighting a communist regime in charge there. His mission is an undercover one, his true identity and purpose are unknown to everyone in Mombaka except the commander, general Vortek.
Upon arrival, Nikolai instigates a barroom brawl, which lands him in prison. There he meets Kallunda, the rebels second in command and an American journalist named Dewey Ferguson. Together they stage a brutal escape and make their way across the African desert to the rebel camp.
They are greeted as heroes by the rebels and their leader Sundata. Though assailed by doubt, Nikolai nonetheless goes through with his mission and attempts to assassinate Sundata. He is, however, insuccessful, and Sundata men captur him. rather than kill him, the rebels tie Nikolai to the ground and leave him exposed to the withering elements.
Before long, though, Nikolai is rescued by Soviet agents unaware of his identity. When Vortek discovers that Nikolai failed in his mission, he orders him executed. Nikolai outwits his captors and flees into the desert.
A man without comrades or country, Nikolai is taken in by a band of bushmen and takes a bushmen's way of life, he finds himself becoming one of them. Eventually, he is accepted as a member of the tribe, signified by the tatooing of a scorpion on his chest.
Equipped with a new country and a sense of purpose, Nikolai rejoins Kallunda and ferguson and leads them into a final, all-out battle against his former comrades.
