The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 1936 by the polish violinis Bronislaw Huberman and is known as one of the world's most renowned classical orchestras. To celebrate their Anniversayr EuroArts now presents an exclusive DVD-Box including six concerts conducted by Zubin Mehta, Daniel Barenboim, Leonard Bernstein featuring the worldwide acclaimed soloists Arthur Rubinstein (piano), Daniel Barenboim (piano), Pinchas Zukerman (violin), Isaac Stern (violin) and Itzhak Perlman (violin) as well a a new documentary called Coming Home - 75 years Israel Philharmonic Orchestra by János Darvas. The film portrays the orchestra and its eventful history, which correlates both with the history of Israel and with the fate of the Jews in the 20th Century. The history of the Isreal Philharmonic Orchestra will be brought back to life starting with the first concerts conducted by Arturo Toscanini in Tel Aviv. Archival footage from 75 years will complete this edition.
